Virginia Poultry Growers Cooperative, Inc.

VPGC was incorporated in the summer of 2004.  However, the 154 farmers that make up the cooperative have been growing turkeys for decades.  Many of these farms have been passed down through generations and the only difference today is they grow an even better turkey.

We are an organization that is committed to our community in everything we do.  We buy locally when we can, support various community projects through both financial and human resources, and we work to grow our business so that our farmers can contribute to the agriculture base that is the foundation of the community we live.

VPGC is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley with our processing plant in Hinton, VA and feed mill in Broadway, VA.  This area is known for poultry, particularly turkeys.  We have farms spread throughout the Shenandoah Valley and West Virginia and we are not only one of the largest employers in the region, but we are the second largest, locally owned employer in the Valley.

At VPGC, we are committed to quality throughout every step of the process and that is why we have our own processing plant.  From quality measures in our feed mill to the procedures outlined in the production of our turkey products, you can rest assured our standards exceed USDA regulations and practices.  The co-op employs nearly 600 individuals committed to producing only the best turkey meats and parts.
